Under the circumstances, I have the honour to lay before Your Excellency a request to ask that you be kind enough to instruct the same to the Secretary of State, with a copy to the Crown Agents being included, to credit and rectify the prejudice and injury suffered by paying to my account at the Hongkong Shanghai Bank, London, the difference between 4/- on my half pay and 4/2 on leave pay as Puisne Judge from the date of my appointment to the date of my embarking for Hongkong.
